UAE astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi is the first Arab to undertake a spacewalk during Expedition 69 venturing out of the International Space Station (ISS) and completing his spacewalk.The historic spacewalk lasted 7.01 hours in the vacuum of space.



Taking to Twitter, the astronaut, currently on the longest Arab space mission, said, Dubai shines almost as bright as the stars up here. #MyDubai

Tweeting the image, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, the agency behind the UAE Astronaut Programme, said the “awe-inspiring photograph paints a picture of the nation’s extraordinary achievements both on Earth and beyond.”
