The safety watchdog Global NCAP has awarded, the soon-to-be-launched, Tata Punch micro-SUV a full, 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection and 4-star rating for child occupant safety in Global NCAP’s latest #SaferCarsForIndia crash tests.
The Tata Punch has become the third model from the Indian manufacturer to get a 5-Star rating for adult protection. And it is also only the second car from India to get a 4 star score for child occupant protection.
The micro-SUV was crash tested and has punched way above its weight as it were, to come off with this score for adult occupant protection. The part about it not being a surprise goes to Tata’s recent track record, as also the company’s stated commitment towards building safer cars.
