Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, went cycling in Mushrif National Park sand bike track on Saturday. The 50km sand bike track, the first of its kind to be built by the Dubai Municipality, is set amidst Mushrif park, which features around 70,000 trees.
He was pictured with a small group of cyclists and posted on social media. “I enjoyed mountain biking in Mushrif National Park, the first mountain bike trail in the heart of Dubai with a length of 50 kilometres”
Sheikh Hamdan is a cycling enthusiast and is often seen on bike rides. The new track is part of Sheikh Hamdan’s directives to transform Dubai into the world’s most bicycle-friendly city. It now adds 276km to the total existing and planned cycle tracks in Dubai, bringing the total length of bicycle tracks in the emirate to 739km by 2026.
