Love having a piece of Boeing 747 in your pocket? It is now possible for you by Delta Airlines in association with Amex. Together the two have unveiled the new Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card that is made from the melted-down metal of a retired Delta Boeing 747.
The ‘limited-edition, first-of-its-kind reserve card will enable members to “experience a piece of the magic, history, and innovation of the ‘Queen of the Skies.’ Only new Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Reserve Business Card Members can apply for it , which will be made available on first cum first serve basis.
Created to honor the history of aviation travel, the new card design consists of 25% metal from Delta Ship #6307, a retired Boeing 747-400. It comes in all-black and features a drawing of the 747, as well as details about the specific plane’s history.
To make the experience better, Amex has also launched an augmented reality experience demonstrating the history of the aircraft and other details for members to enjoy.
